EnableTech is an interdisciplinary student organization at UC Berkeley where students design, prototype, invent, and improve accessibility-focused technology. Our project teams often work with project partners, who are typically individuals with a disability, condition, or impairment, to better understand real needs and create meaningful solutions.
Students in EnableTech build skills in needfinding, CAD, prototyping, fabrication, testing, documentation, teamwork, and communication while learning how to center usability, accessibility, and real human needs in the design process.
Identify needs, brainstorm concepts, and develop practical accessibility-focused ideas.
Create physical and digital prototypes using CAD, fabrication, testing, and iteration.
Work in project teams with students from different backgrounds, majors, and skill levels.
